Jigsaws Galore is the ultimate jigsaw puzzle game, packed full of features and easy to use. You can play the jigsaws included or create your own from your photos and e-mail them to your friends and family. A great way to share your photos!
Jigsaws Galore plays just like a real jigsaw with traditional, beautifully rendered piece shapes. Puzzles can be customized from 4 to 64,000 pieces to suit the whole family's abilities.
A simple interface is provided with an easy to use preview screen to find your favorite jigsaws. Helpful features include the ability to sort and arrange pieces by shape and color automatically; to arrange pieces around the edge of the screen or in rows for easy movement into handy trays; an adjustable background ghost picture on which you can solve the puzzle. Extensive cheat modes include highlight next piece, turn all pieces the right way up or simply use Auto-Solve to complete the whole puzzle. Or try to beat the clock with the countdown timer for an extra challenge.
Other outstanding features include a screensaver which searches for images and plays them as jigsaws; a capture mode to grab any image on your screen to turn into a jigsaw and a wallpaper feature to turn any jigsaw image into your desktop wallpaper.
Customizations include a number of supplied skins or the option to add your own; selectable color schemes of trays and background; programmable sound effects and music play list with support for your own MP3, MIDI and WAV files. You can import various image file formats to create your own jigsaws or grab any displayed image straight off your screen. Great fun while surfing! The demo includes 10 high quality jigsaw pictures and there are free jigsaw sets available after purchase.

Jigsaws Galore is a nice application that allows you to create wonderful puzzles. The game comes with lots of images of animals, cities of the world, beautiful landscapes, and others. The program is extremely customizable, since you can create puzzles exactly the way you want. You can select the number of pieces (from 4 to 64,000), piece size and shape, music, background color, and other advanced options that help you customize the puzzle more deeply. There are also other elements that are key in determining the difficulty of the game. For instance, you can include trays to help you put the pieces in the correct place, rotate the pieces, play without a guiding picture, enable or disable cheating, add a time limit, use a loupe, to name but a few. The cheating function provides hints (which shows you two adjacent pieces), put the pieces right up, and solve the puzzle. What is more, all the puzzles can be saved and printed, and you can also set the images as wallpaper or screensaver. Other tools include the piece arranger, which arranges the pieces at the edge or in grid for an easier localization. You can also choose to include a few fun pieces, which are pieces with different fun shapes like butterflies, rabbits, bats, etc.
Jigsaws Galore has everything you need regarding puzzles and will surely satisfy most puzzle fans. You can never get bored with it. |
